Baked Lobsters
The summer humidity is just a bit more bearable with beach themed cupcakes.
These spongy vanilla cupcakes are filled with juicy blueberries and tart raspberries, enough to have one in every bite.
Decorated with blue-tinted, vanilla frosting, crushed vanilla cookies, and a gummy lobster, they mimic the salty New England shore-without the heat!

The creator of "Shake My Cupcake," Quynh Dao, has joined The Alewife as a contributor to the paper's "Cuisine Klatch" section.
Blossoms and bees pair quite nicely for a summer bridal shower cupcake. Two colors of for-decoration-only hydrangea blossoms and candy sugar bees top these petite vanilla cakes.
Frosted with strawberry buttercream, they hide a surprise inside--slices of fresh strawberry and chunks of white chocolate.
