Galluccio quits state senate quest
by Neil W. McCabe
At a three o'clock press conference on the front steps of City Hall, City Councilor Anthony D. Galluccio (right) announced he was withdrawing from the campaign for the Middlesex, Suffolk and Essex seat in the state senate.
When he started campaigning for the seat it was a open seat because the incumbent, State Sen. Jarrett T. Barrios, D, Cambridge, (left) was running for Middlesex County District Attorney, said Galluccio.
Now that Barrios is back in the race, it was important to acknowledge that the race had changed, he said.
Standing with Galluccio and Barrios was State Senate President Robert E. Travilini, D, Cambridge, who said he had worked with both men to come to this outcome.
As the senate president, Travaglini said it was his responsiblity to help avoid a bitter primary that would distract from the ultimate goal of a strong showing for the Democratic party, including retaking the governor's office.
Galluccio's withdrawal and endorsement of Barrios' re-election was an important example of party unity, he said. "If these two can do it, then everybody is expected to do it."

I have learned a great deal just by reading the blogs that are available on the net. Some of the information I have referenced and some of the other notes were really of the wall. But, THANKS FOR YOUR SITE. I would like to offer up my web site for your visit. It's dedicated to Homeopathic medicine along with a huge amount of information on surviving and rebuilding from a disaster. It's getting about 5000 hits a day, about half of that is from foriegn countries. Anyway, the other half is dedicated to my run for Senator Barrios' seat in the MA Senate. At present I have to be on a sticker campaign, but I won't quit as Barrios and GALLuccio have. I have a lot to say on many issues, but not here, and not now. If you know anyone from the newspapers, you might want to tell them that Barrios' is not running against himself, and that I deserve your vote. So come visit at http://starwarmer.com
Thanks David Cleveland.
PS: If you are one of the people that donated to Barrios' 'DA Campaign' (names listed on my site), and didn't get your donation money back, please send the 700,000 to me, I will guarantee it's used in a needed, humanitarian way.
